ACTIVITIES

Tsitsikamma Falls Adventure Park and Witels Teambuilding & Conference Complex are situated on the same property and therefore guests have ample adventure activities to participate in. There is 3 Waterfalls situated along an 800m stretch of river, on the property with spectacular views. The indigenous ferns and other plant life will make you feel as if you are in paradise. Guest and visitors are welcome to come and enjoy the scenery along the river and see our "Waterfall Zipline adventure Tours" (Better known in South Africa as "Foofi or Foefie Slides", in South America as "Canopy Tours" or in Australia as "Flying Fox" ) and "Quad Bike Rides" & "Waterfall Abseiling Tours".  We also have an indoor climbing wall and an outdoor natural rock face with bolted roots. There is many other adventures, sceneries, places of interest and things to do in the Tsitsikamma and Stormsriver area along the Garden Route and bookings can be arranged upon request and also added to your invoice to make payment easier.

 

Safety

We have been open since the 1st of July 2005.  All our guides were trained by Cape Town School of Mountaineering and registered with SATOUR. We are insured with leading Insurance Companies, since opening and they also have strict criteria for insuring adventure businesses. We are also a registered member of SATSA. Because of our patented braking systems ( “Foefie Brake®” & “Foefie Stop®” System) and the most modern equipment, we can say “we are not in the injury business” and our clients safety comes first. Come enjoy our adventure activities and the beauty of the Tsitsikamma at a reasonable price.

Fun and Adventure

You will enjoy a magnificent view of the indigenous plants and of three waterfalls during your “Waterfall Zipline Tour” (Locally better known as a "Foofi Slide").  We offer longer rides (211m, 165m and the others average 80-90m), safer, faster and more to see. What also makes us unique is that you can enjoy the whole experience if you are faint hearted by taking a walk along the footpaths and be part of the adventure.  There is ample opportunities to take pictures or videos and share your experience with friends from many decks and a suspension bridge situated along the river. There is also opportunity to do "Waterfall Abseiling" 30m down a cove onto a platform at the bottom of one of the waterfalls. There is many pools to swim in and other activities to engage in on the property. We also offer Kloofing for groups of up to 8 people at a time and if you are experienced / trained and wish to make use of our facilities, with your own equipment, please contact us. For a fun-filled day come and enjoy this exiting, exhilarating and adrenalin rush experience. This "foefie-slide" tour takes you on 8 cable rides over the Kruis River and down a ravine over three waterfalls. Each section has its own surprises, adventure, wonders and beautiful views over our fauna and flora. The river can be seen and heard throughout the whole tour. Our longest slide is 211m and is 50m above ground. We are one of the first in SA to utilize the latest and most modern equipment. We also make use of a patented braking system and we are the first to use this system in the adventure business. The price includes a drink on the decks during the slides, and a soft drink, beer or wine after the slides. There is no limit on group size but preferably a group of 8 or less is more fun. Groups can leave every 30 min and a group of 20 will take about 2h30min.  You go over the waterfalls and this is a dry activity. All our guides were trained by an accredited training institution and registered with SATOUR. Since opening, we have been insured with leading insurance companies. They have strict criteria for insuring adventure businesses. We are also a registered member of SATSA. The Tsitsikamma Falls Adventure Park conforms to the highest safety standards, with Zipline cables measuring 13mm in diameter and with a breaking strain of 11 000 kg. Our patented braking system is a first and we have already received orders from USA, New Zealand and Uganda. The emergency braking system is initiated by guides if clients fail to brake themselves. Our system and the most modern equipment will guarantee our clients safety, fun, adventure and the beauty of the Tsitsikamma at a reasonable price. Gravity at its best. Abseiling or rappelling down if you choose. You will abseil 30m down between majestic cliffs and a fern paradise to a platform that awaits you to take you to the foot of the waterfall. The rappel group size is max 5 people on the platform. This activity can be combined with Paintball. A Group of 20 will take 2 hours and this activity is weather permitted. We have 12 Yamaha Grizzly bikes which are automatic and need no experience to ride. Quad bike rides can incorporate orienteering and treasure hunts as a group or team building activity. We have a 100% safety record after two years of operation. Not a bruise or scratch! Accommodation for big and small groups (2 to 100). We cater for Corporate-, Church-, Youth- and School groups with various budgets between R50 - R220pp sharing. Groups can cater for themselves or catering can be arranged. We arrange Organisational Development Consultants which are professionals in their own field. We supply you with their contact details and assist you with your Organisations Development. You can't ask for a more beautiful surrounding than the Tsitsikamma. Our events are safe, reliable and lots of fun* Quad Bikes Abseiling, High Rope and low ropes, Kloofing, Small team activities, Paintball, Drumming etc.  We conduct the Life Orientation Certificates for grades 10 to 12 locally.
